About

I began my career as a family physician with a vision of a providing healing

interactions to my patients within a trusting network of colleagues and support

staff, wherein at the end of each day I could look back with a sense of

accomplishment and joy.

Our health care “system” puts up many barriers to realizing this vision, leaving

patients, support staff, and clinicians frustrated, while the quality and service of

our care delivery suffers, and we waste precious human and financial resources.

Building on Lean’s core principles of continuous improvement and respect for

people, every health care organization can achieve a culture of individual

empowerment and systematic improvement, and become a part of the solution.

My passion is to support those who are committed to this worthy goal, ultimately

returning joy to patient care for us all.
